Last month we made our yearly trip to the races. As usual we supported Newbury Race Course with support vehicles and sponsored one of the evenings races, The Rayner Bosch Car Service Handicap Stakes held on Thursday 23rd July 2026. The unbelievably hot weather meant the course surrounds were as dry as a bone. But the track itself looked immaculate, a big hats off to the staff at Newbury Racecourse for ensuring that racing can still go ahead in these challenging conditions, with the going good to firm.
Our sponsored race was won by Sarangpur, the 5/4 favourite, ridden by Jockey David Probert and the winning trainer was Richard Hughes, pictured below with Kevin and Rob and our MOT competition winners, Valerie and Gert Forbes. It was a tight race, with the winning horse storming through in the final furlong to beat second placed Nowshedancing.
We really enjoy getting involved with the racecourse and the local community. And getting the “Royal Box” experience as race sponsors is always a treat. It’s especially nice to be able to share it with the team and we always look forward to it. And it was great to be joined by our June MOT competition winners for the evening.
